Ainsley Park

The small park at East Campbell and Harrison Avenues on the site of the first Ainsley cannery.

The park marks where J. C. Ainsley moved his cannery in 1892, next to the railroad. Its plaque calls him a pioneer industrialist and public benefactor.

Black walnut trees here were planted about 1885 by William Swope, Benjamin Campbell’s son-in-law, and his daughters. The seat wall carries the Agricultural Heritage Plaques of local fruits.
