Ohlone

The Native American people of the Northern California coast whose land Campbell is built on.

Before the town, the land was occupied by the Ohlone. The Campbell Museums acknowledge the city as the ancestral homeland of the Muwekma Ohlone, whose families lived in the Santa Clara Valley long before California belonged to Spain, Mexico or the United States, and who still live throughout the Bay Area.
