Los Gatos Creek

The 24-mile creek from the Santa Cruz Mountains that runs along the east side of Campbell.

The creek rises near Loma Prieta, flows through Lexington and Vasona reservoirs and Los Gatos, then north-northeast through Campbell and San Jose to the Guadalupe River. Its name comes from the rancho, Rinconada de Los Gatos.

Below Vasona it feeds percolation ponds that recharge the valley’s groundwater, part of the effort that stopped the valley floor from sinking.
