Pruneyard

The open-air shopping center at Campbell and Bascom Avenues, built on the old Brynteson Ranch and finished in 1970.

Fred Sahadi bought the Brynteson Ranch in 1968 and built the PruneYard as an upscale mixed-use center, with shops, a hotel, a cinema that opened in 1969 and three office towers of 1970. It was renovated from 2017, and Regency Centers bought the retail portion in 2019.

It was the site of a free-speech case decided by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1980.
