Campbell Union Grammar School

The Mediterranean Revival grammar school of 1922-23 on East Campbell Avenue, now offices.

Designed by William H. Weeks, the school opened in 1923 and was the district’s only grammar school until 1946. It closed in 1964, housed West Valley College for some years, and became offices after 1979. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Its kindergarten has a tiled fireplace with low seats around the hearth for children to warm their hands and feet.
